ABOUT THE ANT: The Extrema Ratio ANT is the most compact of Extrema Ratio's folding knives. It is an extremely robust, durable, and reliable folder in addition to being a compact size. The ANT is easy to carry in a pocket, on a key chain, or in a handbag. In certain areas, a small folding knife is more likely to comply with legal restrictions on the blade length that can be carried. Easy to conceal. Despite its size, the ANT can handle many everyday tasks effectively, making it a versatile and practical tool for daily use.
BLADE: The stone washed blade is constructed from Böhler N690 steel, hardened to 58 HRC, a steel that achieves the optimal balance between edge retention and strength. The steel is also used in the butchering industry and for surgical instruments. The tang includes a slot for attaching a lanyard or key chain. The blade features a sheepsfoot shape with a small slot at the top, designed to aid in easy opening.
HANDLE: The handle consists of two main components: a black anodized anticorodal aluminum grip and a tempered steel frame that also functions as the blade's locking mechanism. In this system, part of the frame folds inward to securely lock the blade in the open position, enhancing user safety during operation. Has a tip-up carry clip.
LOCK: The ANT has a frame lock which is a type of lock system that allows you to open and close a knife with one hand. The frame lock is part of the handle itself.*

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
* Extrema Ratio's explanation of its frame lock. “The handle is made up of two different elements: the grip made of anodized anticorodal aluminum and the tempered steel frame which also performs the function of locking the blade (Frame Lock System). This mechanism requires that part of the frame is folded inwards, firmly fixing the blade in the open position, increasing the operator safety when using the knife.”
NOTE: Most Extrema Ratio knives are designed for many purposes except for use with food. While they are known for the versatility, durability and strength, they are not ideal for using with food. For food purposes, it's recommended to use knives specially designed for the task
