ABOUT THE GLAUCA B1: The GLAUCA B1 is a medium weight tactical folder. Extrema Ratio and GIGN (Groupe d'Intervention de la Gendarmerie Nationale) cooperated on the development of the GLAUCA B1. The GIGN is a French National Gendarerie special operations unit.

BLADE: The tip of the blade looks like a tanto with sharpening on both sides. The GLAUCA B1 review by "Fog Horn" calls it a "double tanto". The blade is partially serrated. Can be opened with thumbs studs on both sides, as well as flippers. These flippers keep your hand from moving onto the blade. The flippers also have lanyard holes for paracord attaching.

HANDLE: A special tool for cutting plastic ties (i.e. plastic handcuffs) is safely incorporated in the handle and you can access this by lifting a lever on the top of the handle. This handle is specially shaped to give you exceptional gripping power even with gloved hands. The GLAUCA B1 also has a window breaker on the handle end. The clip is reversible. An insignia is emblazoned on each side of the handle.

LOCK: The GLAUCA B1 has a liner lock plus an additional manual lock. When the additional lock is used, the GLAUCA B1 becomes a fixed blade knife.

SHEATH: This unusual folder is accompanied by an unusual sheath. This substantial sheath is formed so you carry the GLAUCA B1 as a fixed blade. It is a wide sheath structured to have several carry positions. It is MOLLE compatible. It can also be carried on a belt or on a side fixing. Includes a leg strap.
