The Extrema Ratio RESOLZA 10 is a compact folder that is a great EDC. The RESOLZA 10 has a blade less than 4 inches. The traditional Resolza was first produced in Sardinia and dates back to the mid-nineteenth century. (Sardinia is Italy's second largest island.) The Resolza was used by the island farmers and shepherds for numerous daily activities. Not only was it a necessary utility knife but these knives were carried by the owners when they were called to war.

The RESOLZA 10 has a classic design and an elegant blade that reflects its Sardinia influence. Extrema Ratio uses modern materials and modern technologies to update this mid-nineteenth century Sardinia blade. The smaller dimensions make it ideal for an exceptional EDC in areas where legal knife blade lengths are shorter. Slips easily into your pocket for a very discreet carry. The RESOLZA 10 is a modernized version of one of the “most famous traditional knives” of Italy.

BLADE: Extrema Ratio has retained the unique blade style of the original Resolza. In following the traditional design, it does not have the thumb studs you commonly find on other Extrema Ratio folders. This model has a black handle and a black blade.

HANDLE: The RESOLZA 10 has a shaped handle that is entirely different from the handles Extrema Ratio normally designs for its folders. It has a slender, streamlined handle with inserts to give you a better grip. In following the original Resolza Sardinia design, the folder does not have a clip.

* The blade is made with N690 cobalt stainless steel; a high performance steel with excellent cutting and sharpening characteristics. This steel is also used in the butchering industry and to make surgical instruments.

** The handle is made of black anodized anticorodal aluminum, an aluminum alloy that is very strong and corrosion resistant.

NOTE: Extrema Ratio knives, with black/colored finished blades, are designed for many purposes except food preparation. While they are known for their versatility, durability and strength, they are not ideal for preparing food. For food preparation purposes, it's recommended to use kitchen knives specially designed for the task.
