Big and tough! One owner described it as "a tank of a knife". This hybrid knife is both a folder and a fixed blade. It is a robust knife especially designed and suited for survival situations. Carry it on your belt, in your backpack, or strap it on your bug-out bag.

The RAO performs admirably in harsh environments that common folders could not endure. This rugged knife is a survival knife fitted with a strong, heavy blade and a hefty handle. This RAO has a tanto point.

The RAO includes a very reliable locking system with an extra safety device that turns the RAO into a solid, fixed blade knife. It is double locked using an ingeniously designed pin attached to the handle with an elastic lace and a spring loaded slide bar lock.

The RAO has a unique and specially designed heavy-duty combo nylon sheath that allows the knife to be carried either as a fixed blade or as a folder. The front section is for a closed knife carry with a protective flap. Behind this is an open section for carrying your RAO as a fixed blade.

Also includes an Extrema Ratio diamond sharpener in a pocket on the front of the sheath. This well-designed sheath holds the knife firmly so you cannot accidentally dislodge it. It is MOLLE compatible.

* The blade is made with N690 cobalt stainless steel; a high performance steel with excellent cutting and sharpening characteristics. This steel is also used in the butchering industry and to make surgical instruments.

** The handle is made of black anodized Anticorodal, an aluminum alloy that is very strong and corrosion resistant.
