ABOUT THE GLAUCA J1: The Extrema Ratio GLAUCA J1 folding knife was developed in conjunction with the Austrian Jagdkommando unit. This very elite unit is an Austrian Special Forces unit. These highly trained professionals encounter dangerous situations and this requires specialized weapons. This requirement promoted the development of Extrema Ratio's GLAUCA J1.

BLADE: The GLAUCA J1 blade has a unique, specially designed tip for maximum penetration. It has a full tang that extends beyond the handle end to form a glass breaker. Has serrations and ambidextrous thumb studs. Extensions on each side of the blade act as guards and protect your hand from slipping onto the blade and to facilitate opening the blade.

HANDLE: Has a special textured handle and also an Extrema Ratio unique, distinctive handle shape. Both of these features combine to give you an excellent grip. Effective grip even with wet hands. There is a clip on the handle. Also has an embedded section on the top that you pull up for cutting plastic handcuffs.

LOCK: The GLAUCA J1 actually has two locks. A liner lock combined with a manually activated locking mechanism that should be used for additional secure locking.

SHEATH: The GLAUCA J1 has a quality, heavy-duty Kydex sheath. A sheath that is MOLLE compatible. Retention to hold your Glauca J1 securely. This sheath is designed to carry your GLAUCA J1 in the open position. Ready for action.
