ABOUT THE CONTACT: Extrema Ratio developed a line of knives and Extrema Ratio named these multipurpose knives “CONTACT”. The Contact fixed blade is another in Extrema Ratio's Contact series of streamlined blades and sheaths. However, this streamlining does not effect the integrity or strength of the CONTACT . The CONTACT has a slimmed down sheath to complement it. The CONTACT is a well-designed, serious knife.

BLADE: This CONTACT has a spear point black blade sharpened on one side. Has jimping that extends into the handle so you can exert extra pressure and/or have better control. Without sacrificing strength, there is a fuller (blood groove) on each side.

HANDLE: The CONTACT's handle has a rubber-like feel and texture to insure you have a positive grip even with wet hands. Lower guard (with a lanyard hole) to protect your hand. Made of black Forprene. A heavy pommel with a lanyard hole extends from the end.

SHEATH: The CONTACT has a two-part minimized sheath to decrease weight. The main section, where your knife rides, is molded “shockproof nylon”and has a trigger allowing for rapid insertion and extraction. It is formed to also secure the blade to prevent “shaking noises”.. The second reinforced textile part has also been reduced as much as possible to reduce the weight. It has a belt loop with a two-button strap and includes a thigh strap. MOLLE compatible

* The blade is made with N690 cobalt stainless steel; a high performance steel with excellent cutting and sharpening characteristics. This steel is also used in the butchering industry and to make surgical instruments.

** The Forprene handle is resistant to extreme temperatures and moisture.
