ABOUT THE HERRING NE: This is a beautiful, ceremonial, commemorative dagger and has historical importance. The HERRING NE is a modern version of the Fairbairn Sykes dagger that is part of Italian history dating back to World War II. It was developed in collaboration with the Italian 185th RAO (Regiment Acquisition Objectives) . Extrema Ratio is committed to remaining faithful to the original Fairbairn Sykes dagger using modern techniques to develop it. This dagger has a polymer case with a historical frieze of the F Squadron. Two commemorative scrolls are also included.

BLADE:  The HERRING NE blade is a simulacrum replica (simulacrumn is Latin for likeness, semblance) of the original Fairbairn Sykes dagger. Has a blunt edge with a rounded tip. This allows the dagger to be sold internationally.*

HANDLE:  The HERRING NE handle is made of brass. The handle has a very special handmade finish. This finish simulates aged brass and creates an antique look that is similar to the original Fairbairn Sykes dagger.

SHEATH:  The handsome HERRING NE sheath is made of leather and Kydex. It has a brass tip.
